Did You Know That No One is Good Enough to Go to Heaven?
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Did You Know All Men Are Sinners?
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Did You Know the Payment For Sin Is Death?
Physical death - Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned;"
Spiritual death - separation of the soul from God for all eternity.
Revelation 20:14-15
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Did You Know That Christ Paid For Your Sin by His Death on the Cross?
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Did You Know that YOU Make the Decision of Whether or Not to Go to Heaven?
By repentance -
The word "repent"
means to turn around and go the opposite direction.
Reviewing the points:
If no one is good enough to get to heaven
If all men are sinners...
If the payment for sin is death...
Physical - Separation of body from soul
Spiritual - Separation of soul
If this is the course of all mankind, then we are all headed in the wrong direction.
We need to turn around or "repent".
So, repentance is accepting God's way and forgetting our way.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.Believing with all our heart in Christ's payment for our sin, through His death on the cross.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
By asking Christ to save us.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
