-Release Time Bible Class-
RELEASE TIME is a program permitted by Pennsylvania law, Senate Bill #706, allowing students to be released from classes, during school hours, to attend religious instruction.
In the Seneca Valley School District, the Release Time program for grades 7-12 is held at First Bible Baptist Church. The classes are conducted once a month, for one hour, by volunteers of First Bible Baptist Church. Our volunteers retain child clearances, background checks, and have been a member at FBBC for at least five years.
Release Time is a fun, interactive time involving snacks, games, and a Bible based lesson pertaining to the students’ needs. Lesson topics cover a broad range of subjects addressing character, truthfulness, friendships, relationships, respect, etc., and are guaranteed to be helpful, and are provided in an easy learning atmosphere.
Classes are conducted at First Bible Baptist Church, 127 Seneca School Road, Harmony, Pa. (across from Seneca Valley High School.) Release Time will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month throughout the school year.
Transportation is provided by First Bible Baptist Church, students should report to the school office at 9:50AM, and will be returned by 10:50AM to resume their normal school day. Students will have to make up missed work, but will not be counted absent from class.
